A proud Mikael Vetterskog, CEO Fårbo Manufacturing, received the award Entrepreneur of the Year in Fagersta, which was presented by Företagarna i Norra Västmanland on Friday, April 25 at the Enterprize Gala. The gala, held at Stadshotellet in Fagersta, was organized by several different stakeholders, including Företagarna, Fagersta Municipality and Almi. Many different categories were awarded, with the Entrepreneur of the Year award covering various criteria, including leadership, creativity and innovation, plus profitability and growth.
Företagarna Norra Västmanland wants to recognize the entrepreneurs who, through their commitment and entrepreneurship, work hard to run and develop their businesses and do better business.
The motivation for the award to Fårbo Manufacturing was: “In recent years, the company has taken a decisive step in its direction and development, which has led good results. When everyday life became routine, the management at the time opened the door to new thinking and new ideas. A courageous decision that makes this company an example both locally, nationally and internationally. We are proud to read about them in the local press, only to hear the next day about their efforts as a voice for entrepreneurship in Europe.”
Mikael Vetterskog, Jimmy Gallon and Stefan Andersson from Fårbo Manufacturing were on site at Stadshotellet. They were of course all happy to be part of a successful team at Fårbo Manufacturing.

– This is a testament to the teamwork at Fårbo. This award goes to all sixty fantastic employees we have. Just three years ago we had a turnover of 50 million, now we have a turnover of a quarter of a billion. It’s a breakthrough, going from a medium-sized company to a fairly large player. One of our values, personal commitment, where teamwork is an important part, has had an impact on the organization and is producing results. Our customers have of course contributed, but also our suppliers, the municipality, and our bank have made it possible and enable us to continue to grow. Thank you to all of you,” said Mikael Vetterskog in connection with the award ceremony.
