OilQuick in Hudiksvall offers a patented, fully automatic quick coupler system for excavators, loaders, forklifts and material handlers. With an export share of around 80%, OilQuick is well established with customers around Europe.
The advantage of the OilQuick system is that the operator of the machine can change and engage hydraulic attachments without leaving the cab. An excavator operator can switch to a hydraulic breaker, steel and concrete shears or a grading grapple, while a forklift operator can similarly switch from pallet forks with hydraulic fork spread to a bale clamp.
Safe connection and 100% quality of assembly and components are crucial for safety in the operations where OilQuick’s systems are used. The demands on subcontractors are therefore high. OilQuick has chosen to have Fårbo Manufacturing manufacture shafts and locking pistons in the various dimensions required.
“We have no ambitions to be the best at turning or milling bar material, for example,” says Johan Eriksson, buyer at OilQuick. “We focus on what we are good at, and of course we handle a large part of the production in-house, but some steps are more rational to let specialized subcontractors take care of. That’s where Fårbo Manufacturing and our other selected suppliers come in.”
Johan says that they gather suppliers for meetings under the theme Team OilQuick to develop relationships with also clarify their requirements and wishes.
